The “founding fellows” of FoLA2 are all involved in the Learning Analytics supported Learning Design project that Marcel Schmitz started in 2016 as a researcher at Zuyd University of Applied Sciences and as a PhD-candidate of Open University (OU) of the Netherlands. Marcel is supervised by Prof. Dr. Maren Scheffel (at that time part of the OU OLI team), Dr. Roger Bemelmans (Research group Data Intelligence) and by Prof. Dr. Hendrik Drachsler. In 2019 they developed FoLA2 and can thereby be seen as the Founding Fellows, together with all the colleagues at the PhD group of Open Unversity, researchers of the research groups Technologie Ondersteund Leren and Data Intelligence at Zuyd and involved advisors, teachers and students of Zuyd University of Applied Sciences.
